The Development Office administers a number of prizes. For more details about each, and who is eligible, please see below. |

| Stephen Lushington AwardStephen Lushington was Westminster's first Head of English and Housemaster of Liddell's and Wren's. He is and was a remarkable teacher, capable of inspiring generations of students with a love of prose, poetry and imagination. At his 90th birthday last year, there was a roll call of artists and journalists who arrived to thank him for his influence.
To honour Stephen's contribution to the School an annual award has been established in his name aimed at encouraging students to produce creative work focusing on the dramatic effect of language, either spoken or written.
The first award went to Gabriel Gettman (MM 2003-2008) for his short film, Revelation, featuring home grown talent Gus Lewis (WW) and Imogen Stubbs (QS 1977-1979). |

The Neville Walton Travel/Cultural Bursary
In order to celebrate Neville Walton's (QS 1966-1971) involvement with the Elizabethan Club and his love of travel and foreign culture, the Club created this annual Bursary in 2006. All Old Westminsters under the age of 25 at the time of application can apply.
The value of the Bursary is £500 per annum and is awarded on the basis of the best application from an OW received by 1st May of each year.
Each application (no more than 500 words) will be reviewed by the Elizabethan Club Committee who will consider the cultural aspect of each trip, rather than pure travel involved.
The annual winner will be notified by 1st June and the result will be posted online here. An article of the trip should be prepared for publication in the Elizabethan Newsletter (1,000-1,500 words) and should be submitted within two months of return.

The Prag Award
Adolf Prag (1906-2004) taught mathematics at Westminster 1946-1966 and was the School Librarian. He was also an authority on the history of mathematics, notably the work of Isaac Newton. His wife Frede (1904-2004) was much involved in School activities such as theatre and maintaining Ashburnham Garden. Their long association with the School is marked by the new sundial in Yard. Both his family and many former pupils gave money to fund the sundial and with the surplus to fund an annual prize called the Prag Award. The prize was awarded for the first time in 2008.
The award is given to a current pupil of the School. Application details and the criteria the award is judged on are available here.
