About our Society
The Ashburnham Society was founded in its current form in 2004 by David Roy (AHH, 1955-61) and his son Angus (AHH, 1993-98) who act as Chairman and Secretary respectively. All former Ashburnhamites are automatically considered to be members of the Society and are not required to pay an annual subscription fee. A one-off fee of £20 is levied against the first term's bill of each Ashburnham pupil every year whilst they are in the House.
In addition to organising regular social events for Old Ashburnhamites the Society funds a bursary for which members of the House in their last 2 years of school and first few years of leaving are eligible to apply. The Society also supports an annual Ashburnham photographic competition and other House activities such as the Ash Tree magazine.
