OW Careers and Mentoring
The OW Careers and Mentoring Programme was re-launched in 2012 and, at last count, 105 OWW had volunteered their services to help recent Leavers and OWW seeking a career change. So far 70 mentors have been in touch with 40 ‘mentees’ (mentees are often matched with more than one mentor) and the feedback has been wonderful. A recent surge of interest from the Young Gaudy and the 2013 Leavers’ Forms have resulted in more OWW than ever before seeking and finding guidance on careers.
We’ve got mentors at every level, from Managing Directors with a wealth of professional experience behind them to recent Leavers who can advise others on how to get into their field with the benefit of recent experience of applications processes and interviews. You can opt in or opt out of being a mentor at any point and we’ll always send over an introduction to prospective ‘mentees’ before giving you their details so you can be in touch directly. We are always looking for new mentors so please complete the form below if you would be willing to be involved. Anyone looking to find a mentor should contact the Development Office – it would be great to see the numbers involved increase further.
Finding a Mentor
If you’re looking for advice on a particular industry or seeking guidance after leaving School or university you can access a list of over 100 OW mentors just by emailing email@example.com. Let us know which sectors you are interested in and send over a CV – we’ll send you a list of mentors and, once you’ve told us who you’d like to contact, we’ll make an introduction by email so they can be in touch directly.
Becoming a Mentor
Acting as a mentor to OWW can be a really rewarding experience. As a mentor you can be involved as much or as little as you like – just let us know what you can offer by filling in this form.

A-level, Pre-U and GCSE Results 2013
In a year when the percentage of top grades awarded fell nationally, the proportion of these grades achieved by Westminster pupils matched the consistently impressive statistics of recent years: at GCSE, 86.2% of all grades awarded were at A*, and 98.2% were at A* or A, at A-level, over 50% of grades were at A* or D1/D2 (Pre-U equivalent), and 88.5% were at A*/A (or equivalent) putting Westminster at the top of the league tables.
