The Elizabethan Club

The Elizabethan Club, Westminster School’s alumni association, supports a full range of events, societies and sporting activities for Old Westminsters and helps them to maintain links with both the School and old friends.

Would you like to join the Committee?

Dear OWW,

The last few years have witnessed a continuing interest and participation in the Elizabethan Club’s activities and events. For instance, the Annual Dinner has been oversubscribed for the last seven years and a number of one-off events have also been well attended. All the Club’s activities are organised through its Committee, in conjunction with the Development Office, who provide significant support. In order to continue building on the success of the Club, additional Committee Members are sought.

Currently, the Committee consists of sixteen Members (twelve men and four women), of whom five are ex-officio. There are four Officers and seven Members. Currently, all age groups are represented, although the Club would particularly welcome more representatives of OWW, who left between 1975 and 1993.

The Club generally meets at 6:15 pm for around ninety minutes, three times a year (dates are agreed well in advance), one of which will be followed by a Committee Dinner so that Members have the chance of getting to know one another.

It is hoped that Committee Members will occasionally involve themselves in supporting the Chairman and Development Office in organising events but the involvement, on the basis that it is shared out, is expected to be minimal.

Should you be interested in joining the Committee, please could you contact me.
